The governments of Alberta (GOA) and the Northwest Territories (GNWT) signed the Alberta-NWT Bilateral Water Management Agreement (the Agreement) in 2015 to cooperatively manage shared waters. A Bilateral Management Committee (the Committee) is responsible for implementing and reporting on the Agreement. The Committee, along with Indigenous partners, federal partners, and research associates, continued to advance the work of protecting the aquatic ecosystems shared by Alberta and the NWT. This report provides an overview of the work completed between April 1, 2021, and March 31, 2022.
